You’re a Mechanical Manager because people trust you. Not because of your title. Because you’ve done the work. You’ve been on site long enough to know how a plant really runs.

It’s a steady, well run industrial site that needs someone to take ownership of the mechanical maintenance function and quietly make it their own. As Mechanical Manager, you’ll lead a team of 20 across mechanical maintenance, civils, stores and a small mechanical projects team. You’ll report into the Head of Engineering, plan the work, keep things moving and stay visible on site… present & trusted.

The site operates in a lower tier COMAH environment. It’s regulated, but practical. They know they are unlikely to find someone straight from a chemical background. So if you’ve worked in heavy industry, manufacturing or food and want the chance to build your COMAH and ATEX knowledge properly, that opportunity is here. You’ll be supported and given the time to learn it properly.

You are a mechanically expert, apprentice trained and qualified to at least HNC level. That qualification is non negotiable. You’ve led maintenance teams before and you’re comfortable dealing with the HSE and Environment Agency as part of your role. You understand PSSR, PUWER and LOLER. You’ve managed contractors, plant services, CMMS systems and stores. You’ve delivered small mechanical projects and can point to improvements you’re proud of.

More than anything, you’re a Mechanical Manager who leads people well, you like being on site, you back your team… handle difficult conversations calmly & set standards clearly.

What you get as Mechanical Manager:

  • Salary of up to ÂŁ65,000
  • Monday to Friday, days only
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Paid sick scheme, life assurance and pension
  • A capable team who know the site

This is a long term Mechanical Manager role. A place to settle. A place where your experience is valued and where you can continue to develop.

The interview process is straightforward too. An initial online chat, followed by a site visit so you can see if it feels right.

If you’re reading this and thinking “that sounds like me”, then it’s worth a conversation. Just drop us a message, tag someone who’d be perfect for this below or send your CV to the email above.
