Marshall Group is the audio, tech, and design powerhouse uniting musicians and music lovers through genre-breaking innovation. Our flagship brand, Marshall, is uniquely positioned with over 60 years of rock 'n' roll attitude on stage, at home, and on the go. Our iconic products are brought to life by a dedicated team of 800 passionate employees and sold in over 90 markets worldwide.

The Role

Right now, we need to strengthen our R&D team in Milton Keynes with a Senior Manager, PM Amps who will take ownership of the project management function for Amps and build it into something that works consistently, at scale, and in step with the pace of our product development. We have talented project managers already in place, but the team needs a leader who can bring structure, tools, and focus so they can do their best work. If you get energy from building ways of working that actually stick, and you want to make that impact inside a brand that sounds like nothing else, this is the right role for you.

What you’ll do

  • You will lead and develop a team of project managers working across the Amps product portfolio, helping each of them grow while building the processes and tools that set the whole function up for success.
  • On a daily basis, you will drive the operational rhythm of project delivery: reporting to leadership, managing escalations, aligning project budgets, and chairing product decision meetings.
  • In parallel, you will work on the longer-term challenge of improving how the team plans and executes, developing more efficient ways of working with suppliers and across the business to shorten time to market.
  • You will also carry a few projects of your own, keeping you close to the work and credible with the people around you.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the project management team for Amps, supporting each team member’s growth and ensuring they have the time and focus to do their best work.
  • Own the development and implementation of project management processes, tools, and ways of working across the Amps organisation.
  • Drive product decision meetings and manage project reporting and escalations to senior leadership.
  • Plan and align project budgets and expenditure in close collaboration with other teams.
  • Develop efficient ways of working with key suppliers and across the business to shorten time to market.
  • Lead a selection of own projects alongside team management responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for

You are a project management leader who brings both the experience and the mindset to walk into an established team and make it better. You understand that meaningful change takes time, and that the best ways of working are built through listening, iteration, and trust rather than imposing a single methodology. You are at your most effective when collaborating across functions, managing a broad set of stakeholders, and keeping things moving without losing the patience that earns people’s confidence. You will work closely with the broader Product Operations organisation and bring a genuine commitment to developing the people in your team.

You probably have the following experiences & skills

  • Five or more years of project management experience, ideally within a product development environment spanning both hardware and software.
  • Proven experience leading a project management function, PMO, or team of project managers, including managerial responsibility for resource allocation and budget.
  • A track record of introducing or scaling project management processes and tools within an organisation, with demonstrated ability to drive adoption.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies and leading change in a cross-functional setting.
  • A degree in an engineering discipline, with a Master’s level qualification being a strong advantage.
