We are working with a growing, employee-focused structural consultancy based near Hertford, who are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background or interest in temporary works design. The Role
You will play a key role in delivering temporary works and structural engineering solutions across a range of complex construction projects. Responsibilities include:
- Leading and delivering temporary works designs (e.g. excavation support, propping, formwork, falsework, demolition sequencing)
- Producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports in line with Eurocodes
- Developing construction methodologies and sequencing in collaboration with contractors
- Attending site visits and client meetings
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
- Strong experience in permanent works or temporary works design within a consultancy or contractor environment
- Confident managing projects and liaising with clients
- Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-led approach
- UK project experience essential
