We have a vacancy for a Working Foreman or Foreman to join our busy General Building Department to help us deliver our full order book of upcoming projects all over the Central Belt of Scotland. The right candidate must have previous experience as a Foreman in joinery.

Typical Duties will include:

  • Communicate with clients in a polite and professional manner
  • Coordinate and cooperate with your Contracts Manager
  • Drive the workforce on site to meet target programme dates set by your Contracts Manager
  • Comply with Health and Safety legislation, including carrying out Tool Box Talks, Method Statement and Risk Assessment briefings (previous experience of writing method statements/ risk assessments would be an advantage), HAVS Record Sheets. Ensuring workforce are carrying out their work safely and in accordance with Method Statement/ Risk Assessment.
  • Order Plant and Materials as and when required
  • Ensure the plant and equipment you are responsible for is in good working order and report defects.
  • Ensure workmanship is of an acceptance standard of quality
  • Accurate record keeping including Daily Site Diaries, Material Received Sheets, collating delivery tickets, Material Requisitions.
  • Ensure additional works are captured on CVI's or reported to your Contracts Manager so costs can be recovered from the client.

  • Full Driving Licence (essential)
  • CSCS Card (essential)
  • SSSTS (essential)
  • SMSTS (desirable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
