This is a unique opportunity to build, maintain and control baseline schedules associated with projects and programmes undertaken by Operations, in order to manage risk, optimise sequence of work and maximise staff utilisation, whilst making allowances for material and resource constraints.
The successful Aircraft Scheduler will be accountable for providing and maintaining detailed baseline schedules to operations that enable identification of critical paths, high risk tasks, key milestones, dependencies and input phases along with the required weekly resource demand across all trades.
Responsibilities:- Project controls β Actively manage schedules that identify resources, help identify risk and aid in scenario planning
- Change Control β manage change into a baselined schedule
- Integration of schedules β Link individual schedules into the Integrated master schedule to support capacity planning
- Stakeholder management β Engage with operations and customer support to ensure their methodologies and requirements are incorporated into baseline schedules
- Continuous improvement β As part of a team, identify opportunities of improvement on baseline schedules
- Create task level schedules which will update an ERP system
- Mature baseline schedules by applying analytics and historic data
- Integrate additional and emergent scope into baseline, or live schedules to assess impact to critical path, resource and project risks
- Scenario planning
- Work with resource planning to enable strategic and tactical operation planning
- Agree and implement changes to schedules as required to allow holistic business decisions

- Experience of using scheduling software ie. MS Project, Asta PowerProject & Primavera P6
- Understanding of Scheduling Theory
- ERP system familiarity
- Good working knowledge of MS software especially Excel, Visio, Word & Power BI
- Knowledge and experience in capacity planning
- Experience of working within the Aerospace/ engineering / Defence Industry
- Creating schedules within production or maintenance environment
- Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance
