We are currently seeking an Aircraft Planner to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively to engineer, create, maintain, and load work cards that support the delivery of aircraft maintenance activities. You will translate customer orders and technical data (including AMP, AMM, and engineering drawings) into clear, actionable work instructions, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with commercial, customer, regulatory, scheduling, technical, data, and configuration control requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with bid, estimate and scheduling of aircraft inputs by applying technical competence and the ability to work effectively in a team to establish the data, work, resources and task sequence to meet customer and engineering requirements.
  • Providing input into the concurrent engineering process to ensure as far as practicable that technical solutions are optimised for achievement within budget and timescale and that, prior to sign-off, that technical data is correct and meets the requirements to produce work cards and that condition of supply of manufactured parts is agreed.

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance or equivalent.
  • Understanding of the mechanics and systems of aircraft maintenance, including maintenance data.
  • Understanding and experience of working with Engineering design data.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • The ability to identify and engage with customers.
  • The ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Demonstrable ability to work as part of a collaborative team, focused on team success.
  • Self-motivated, ability to adapt and learn to meet different requirements.
  • Knowledge of the applicable airworthiness regulation.
  • A high level of professionalism in both conduct and output.
  • Understanding of quality and safety requirements associated with planning.
  • Have the skills necessary to deliver clear, concise verbal and written communications.
  • The ability to interpret complex technical data and translate this into progressively certifiable work card instructions.
  • Have good IT skills to include Keyboard, MS Office package working knowledge.
  • Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to drive and support sustainable continuous improvement.
