Marsh is the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser, with its UK Specialty business handling some of the most complex, high‑value risks globally across Aviation, Marine, Energy, Financial Lines, and other specialty classes via the London Market, Lloyd's, and international markets. Technology and data capabilities are key competitive advantages in this space. We are establishing the Office of the UK CIO, a new technology leadership team dedicated to transforming how technology is designed, delivered, and experienced across Marsh UK. This represents a fundamental shift from project‑based delivery to outcome‑driven product management, positioning technology as a strategic differentiator rather than a cost centre.

In this role, you will be the sole strategic technology partner to the Specialty business, responsible for the technology relationship, roadmap, and accountable for delivering impactful technology outcomes for one of Marsh's most commercially significant units.

We will count on you to:

  • Be the single strategic technology partner to the Specialty business, owning the relationship with Specialty leadership.
  • Set and own the end‑to‑end technology roadmap, aligning UK initiatives with global Marsh technology strategy.
  • Drive technology‑originated innovation such as AI‑enabled risk analytics, smarter placement tooling, and automation.
  • Own delivery accountability, ensuring benefits realization and business outcomes for every technology initiative.

What you need to have:

  • Significant experience in technology leadership or senior product/TPM roles within the London insurance market is essential.
  • Deep operational knowledge of the London Market placement lifecycle and supporting technology ecosystem.
  • Experience with Blueprint Two digital placement obligations including structured data and API integration.
  • Proven ability to build trusted senior relationships and influence at BU CEO or C‑suite level.
  • Track record of owning technology roadmaps and managing prioritisation trade‑offs in complex environments.

What makes you stand out?

  • Knowledge of Specialty insurance classes: Aviation, Marine, Energy, Financial Lines, Cyber.
  • Experience with AI, data analytics, or automation in underwriting or broking.
  • Familiarity with delegated authority systems and bordereaux processing.
  • Experience working within a global technology organization managing global/local priorities.
  • ACII, CII or equivalent insurance qualification.

Why join our team:

We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders. We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities. Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well‑being.
