We are looking for a dynamic, commercially astute professional to become a vital part of our Marine Facultative team at Marsh Re in Norwich. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working three days in our Norwich office and 2 days from home, with the opportunity to travel to London.
As an Account Manager, you will provide exceptional support to our brokers, clients and markets, fostering strong relationships. You will report to the Account Management Lead and work closely with both brokers and internal teams to service a book of global marine reinsurance business.
We will count on you to:
- Assist brokers in preparing renewal and new business submissions to insurers.
- Draft technical documentation, including slips, endorsements and evidence of cover, ensuring compliance with Marsh Re processes and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with service teams (invoicing, claims, and credit control) within Marsh Re UK and globally to ensure clients receive best-in-class service.
- Provide proactive support to brokers by coordinating placement activities and ensuring key quality and process targets are met.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and excellence in service delivery to clients, markets, and colleagues.
- Oversee the complete account management process for your portfolio of accounts, from initial quote through to premium payment and mid-term endorsements.
- Take ownership of query resolution, coordinating with reinsurers, clients, and internal teams to address queries or requests in partnership with brokers.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience in a technical role within an insurance broker or insurance company.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- A strong client and quality focus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge and experience of London insurance markets and/or insurance broking.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
