Join to apply for the Commercial Development Executive role at Marsh. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Commercial Sales team at Marsh, based in either Birmingham or Leeds. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least 3 days a week in the office or with prospective clients and up to 2 days from home once the initial onboarding/probationary period is passed.
The role involves:
- Reaching out to prospective clients via email, phone, post, attending meetings with prospects, and securing them as new clients.
- Aligning yourself to one or two industry sectors to work on prospects in those sectors.
- Managing a prospect pipeline; keeping our CRM database up to date with all activity.
- Building strong working relationships within the business to increase internal referrals and cross-sell additional Marsh services.
- Attending relevant networking events and building centres of influence both internally and externally.
What you need to have:
- A can-do attitude; we want self-starters who can manage their own time effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and a good work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Stakeholder management skills up to and including senior executive level.
- Motivation to complete the Certificate in Insurance; all sales professionals should achieve CERT CII as a minimum.
