The Role

This is a senior commercial and technical role focused on leading tendering and pricing activity across electrical network and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will act as a central point of contact for customer network design and pricing enquiries, producing competitive, compliant, and fully costed proposals for operations and maintenance, remedials, and project work. Working closely with business development, design, and project delivery teams, you will help shape bid strategy, review technical solutions, assess risk, and support handover for secured work. The role also includes mentoring tendering engineers and helping to drive consistent standards across proposal development.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in electrical tendering, estimating, or proposal development within electrical network, infrastructure, or related engineering environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of HV and LV installations, switchgear, and systems up to 33kV, with the ability to develop and review compliant engineering solutions.
  • Experience working within DNO and non-regulated sectors, with a track record of delivering technical solutions and costings in electrical and civil engineering projects.
  • Ability to assess commercial and technical risk, coordinate cross-functional input, and produce accurate, customer-focused proposals in a fast-paced environment.
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, alongside strong communication skills and experience supporting or mentoring colleagues within a tendering or engineering team.
