A well-established engineering and infrastructure services organisation is seeking to expand its high-voltage operations capability across the UK. The business supports critical electrical networks through maintenance, remedial works, and project delivery, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and service quality. Its work underpins essential infrastructure, helping clients maintain reliable and efficient network performance.

This is a hands-on engineering role for an experienced HV Electrical Engineer with Senior Authorised Person responsibilities. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality operational performance across network maintenance, remedial works, and project activities, acting as a key point of contact for customers and ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with legislative and company standards. The role also includes commissioning support, fault response, tendering input, and the organisation of teams to meet operational targets. Alongside technical delivery, you will help promote a strong HSQE culture and provide guidance to more junior engineers.

Experience Required

  • A minimum of five years’ experience working on high-voltage electrical networks, ideally across voltage levels from 11kV to 66kV.
  • Proven Senior Authorised Person experience at 11kV, 33kV and 66kV, with exposure to higher voltage levels considered advantageous.
  • Strong background in HV maintenance, remedial works, commissioning activities, and project delivery within operational network environments.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering, or a Level 3 electrical qualification supported by significant relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, mentor others, and perform effectively under pressure.
