R_361136 – Senior Political Risk and Structured Credit Client Executive / Broker (Public Agency)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Political Risk & Structured Credit team at Marsh Risk.

This role will be based in London.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a senior member of Marsh’s Political Risk & Structured Credit (PRSC) team in the UK, you will have a key level of responsibility for the management, servicing and revenue / growth of a major public agency client account.

We will count on you to

  • Develop a detailed understanding of the public agency’s strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and provide advice accordingly.
  • Build a relationship with the public agency and be a primary point of contact for the client’s strategic engagement and day-to-day service needs.
  • Use previous expertise and knowledge to develop PRSC solutions (NPI / PRI as applicable) for the client’s needs, including recommending additional products and services (from Credit Specialties and wider Marsh portfolio), where applicable, and manage their implementation with the public agency.
  • Provide advice on existing and emerging market conditions which might impact insurance coverage and the public agency’s ability to recognize value from the NPI product .
  • Lead meetings with the public agency and with insurers, completing or delegating follow-up, as required.

Be a leading voice in strategic oversight on the account, including semi-annual Stewardship reports and regular meetings / calls with the client.

  • Oversee and provide support to less experienced members of the team to assist the client in the day-to-day administration of their account, including drafting documentation, managing enquiries, tracking and handling premium adjustments, managing requests for meetings with Insurers, hosting Insurer calls, liaising with internal Marsh stakeholders.
  • Take the lead on projects (internal and external) which may be requested from time-to-time.
  • Support senior colleagues in the achievement of the PRSC annual budget / wider objectives and personally contribute in the overall achievement of the public agency client’s revenue target (and wider team target, as appliable).
  • Actively mentor and develop more junior colleagues and motivate others to excel

What you need to have

  • Insurance experience from a client relationship, placement and/or underwriting background
  • Possess broad technical knowledge across structured credit, including commodity finance, trade finance, asset backed finance, project finance and securitisation transactions.
  • Ability to lead teams and develop individuals into future leaders.
