We are seeking a talented individual to join our Asia Pacific Property team at Bowring Marsh. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
The BM Asia Pacific Property team handles a broad range of Property placements for international clients domiciled in the APAC region. Working alongside our Marsh retail colleague network, the team directly engages the marketplace to find innovative solutions for our clients’ property insurance needs. We are focused on client service, coverage, data-driven innovation, and product development. We serve clients across a diverse range of business sectors, making this a great opportunity to join a respected team in a dynamic marketplace.
Bowring Marsh works closely with clients to provide tailored international placement options that suit each business risk and exposure. With a deep understanding of industry challenges, they innovate, customise, design, and place insurance programmes with international insurers. Located across all major international insurance hubs, the team of 300 insurance brokers combines their comprehensive portfolio experience and in-depth knowledge of our clients’ risks with the ability to have face-to-face negotiations with decision-makers to prioritise which insurers to approach in which international market hub.
We will count on you to:
- Use knowledge of Property Insurance and the insurance market to review clients’ exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for client individual needs.
- Work closely with colleagues to deliver renewal and placement strategies.
- Negotiate with Lloyds and London market insurers to deliver placement.
- Understand clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs and provide advice accordingly to successfully serve the client and develop any relevant products.
- Work with the team to seek growth opportunities and subsequently win new business.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and be the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs.
What you need to have:
- Property Insurance knowledge from a broker background.
- Client and Market facing experience with an established Broker network.
- Excellent communication skills – both written (tenders, reports, presentations) and verbal (client meetings, colleague meetings, and delivery of tenders and presentations).
- Proven organisation abilities and able to multi-task.
- Diligence, accuracy, and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
