Pensions Risk Transfer Consultant

Mercer is looking for talented and ambitious pensions consultants who are keen to further their career, focused on consulting with clients.

This is an opportunity to join our expanding Risk Transfer team, providing clients with advice on the journey to buy-in, broking the market and winding up schemes.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and project management skills, adaptability, business acumen and a desire to be in front of clients, all underpinned by the required consulting skills and experience.

We will count on you to

  • Bulk annuity broking and winding up pension schemes is fast becoming an increasingly important role as part of the run off of DB schemes and delivering service excellence in this area will be crucial to our overall delivery.
  • Client Executive – Private Clients

The Client Executive will focus on managing and retaining an existing client portfolio while identifying and winning new business, making it an ideal position for someone with a client‑facing sales background who aspires to thrive at a market‑leading insurance broker.

We will rely on you to

  • Deliver sales and growth with a focus on HNW Private Clients.
  • Demonstrate excellent client retention skills.
  • Cover a large region utilizing your diary management skills to ensure you maximise your client reach.
  • Demonstrate strong team working ability in order to forge strong working relationships within the business to meet defined goals and targets.
  • Perform to a high level across all areas of client management including client service, quality and assurance, growth and colleague engagement.

What you need to have

  • Prior experience as a Client Executive is preferred, however not essential as we’re also open to those with a proven track sales record in another sector.
  • A passion for elite client service.
  • Be able to generate leads.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Stakeholder management skills up to and including senior executive level.
