We are seeking a talented junior individual to join our Construction PI Claims team at Marsh. This role will be based in Birmingham and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

This is a great opportunity to join an experienced team with exposure to top tier construction clients, leading insurers and international lawyers. The ideal candidate will recognise this opportunity to develop not only their knowledge but their connections.

We will count on you to:

  • Handle professional Indemnity construction claims from initial notification to resolution
  • Work and negotiate with Insurers to achieve the most beneficial, cost‑effective settlement for Clients
  • Attend and contribute to claims review meetings and renewal meetings
  • Develop relationships with insurers and clients and their respective representatives
  • Develop relationships with internal colleagues such as placing and client managers

What you need to have:

  • Confident with client and stakeholder interaction
  • Previous claims handling/insurance experience, with either an Insurer or Broker or law firm (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Quick to take on board new information which is technical in nature
  • Analytically minded with the ability to resolve complex queries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to promote continuous improvement and respond positively to change
