Guy Carpenter is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Head of Fiduciary, UK to lead a vital function at the heart of our London business. This is a high-impact, commercially important role within a world-leading reinsurance specialist, where your expertise will directly shape client service, financial stewardship, and operational excellence.

As a key member of the UK leadership team, you will have the opportunity to influence strategy, strengthen governance, and drive continuous improvement across a complex and fast-moving environment. Working in close partnership with senior colleagues across Broking, Finance, Treasury, Controllership, and global fiduciary teams, you will play a central role in ensuring the seamless management of fiduciary operations and the highest standards of control and service.

As a key business leader, the Fiduciary Head will collaborate with global counterparts, business units, and functional teams to deliver best-in-class fiduciary practices, reduce financial risk, and continuously improve processes that support growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Set the strategic direction for the UK Fiduciary function, aligning with global fiduciary and firm-wide objectives.
    • Establish clear fiduciary performance metrics, ensuring accountability for client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.
    • Act as a thought leader on fiduciary practices, shaping innovation and sharing best practices globally.
  • Financial Stewardship
    • Oversee fiduciary financial reporting, reconciliations, and management information in partnership with Finance and Controllership.
    • Ensure timely collections, reduce bad debt exposure, and optimize cash flow management.
    • Safeguard compliance with external regulatory requirements, internal control frameworks, and audit standards (including MMC and GC Controls).
  • Operational Excellence
    • Drive continuous process improvement, leveraging automation, digitization, and workflow enhancements.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Broking, Controllership, Treasury, Digitization, B2B (Acord), and accounting operations to enhance client and market service.
    • Ensure Mumbai Governance framework is robust and focused on the correct metrics. Drive continual improvement of support offering in India and act as a conduit between offices.
    • Ensure effective governance and resolution of complex fiduciary issues, escalating as needed to senior stakeholders.
  • People Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing UK fiduciary team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and accountability.
    • Provide oversight and guidance to offshore fiduciary teams ensuring consistent standards, knowledge transfer, and capability building.
    • Serve as a visible role model of the firm’s leadership mindset, driving engagement, collaboration, and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience leading fiduciary, financial operations, or controllership functions, ideally within reinsurance, insurance, or financial services.
  • Proven record of delivering results in a complex, matrixed organization, with experience in managing global or offshore teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, fiduciary risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrated success in talent development, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to turn complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with presence to engage senior stakeholders and external partners.
