Mercer Marsh Benefits have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Employee Benefits Sales Consultant. The role is focussed on new business development, within SME organisations. You will work mainly virtually via Zoom or Teams with some phone work, but this is not a cold-calling role with the majority of leads provided.

In this role you will have:

- Support in gaining industry qualifications, typically including IF7 (Healthcare), GR1 (Protection) & IF1 (General Insurance)
Note: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week working in our Bristol office.
We will count on you to:
- Once fully trained, compliant and competent, manage multiple new business projects across multiple lines of business.
- Using your excellent communication skills, lead client meetings asking open & closed questions to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions to cater for their needs.
What you need to have:
- Previous customer relationship/sales based experience
- Strong relationship building skills and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- An ambitious nature and a keen contributor within a team environment
- Strong IT skills, preferably in Microsoft programs including Excel, Office and Word.
- Good levels of education including Grade C/4 or 5 pts GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Willingness to develop and progress
