We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Public Sector Team. This role can be based in the Reading offices. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As part of the Marsh Public Sector Team you will work to provide customized insurance and risk management solutions specifically for housing clients across the UK. You will manage a portfolio of potential housing clients, analyse their needs based on detailed data and tender requirements, and create presentations to secure insurance coverage from various markets.
The role requires close collaboration with sales and broking teams to develop strategies, meet deadlines, and build strong relationships with insurers and stakeholders. You will also ensure smooth handovers to client servicing teams and help design insurance programs that meet client specifications, including working on pricing and fees with the Sales Director.
We will rely on you to:
- Manage a rolling portfolio of housing client prospects, providing tailored insurance and risk management solutions that align with their formal tender specification
- Review/analyse large sets of data/information, ascertaining what is required and creating broking presentations for the various insurer markets
- Work closely with the Sales Director & Sales Executive and other members of the New Business team to agree individual strategies for every prospect & ensure all relevant deadlines are met
- Build strong relationships with insurers and internal & external stakeholders
- Understand how the client servicing team operate to ensure when a client is handed over it is done so in a full & complete manner
- Identify and develop strategies for clients' risk management and insurance needs, in conjunction with the Sales Director, Sales Executive & Broking Manager, that can be implemented in a successful bid
- Propose insurance program design activities, ensuring alignment with client tender specification
- Work with Sales Director on required fees
What you need to have:
- Proven insurance experience, preferably in Property-Casualty (Combined) classes but the role will cover a wide ranging spectrum of insurance classes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship-building and management abilities
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability & willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work to defined & tight deadlines
