The Team Assistant will provide high-quality, proactive administrative and business support to a small team of Senior Professionals/Directors. Acting as a trusted business partner, the role requires excellent judgement, strong organisation and the ability to represent Oliver Wyman professionally with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will manage diary and meeting logistics, coordinate travel, support client development activity through CRM and deliver reliable team and office support. This is a hybrid role (60% of the time working from the Oliver Wyman office in Newcastle).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain diaries for senior professionals, scheduling internal and external meetings, communicating with clients and infrastructure staff as appropriate.
- Coordinate travel and accommodation, book cars, rail tickets, etc.
- Prepare weekly timesheets for each assigned senior professional.
- Maintain/update client contact database to ensure accuracy of information for firm use.
- Provide coverage for assistants when out of the office to ensure seamless support to Directors/Partners.
- Provide training and support to new assistants.
- Participate in team meetings and projects with an eye to improving processes and the overall performance of the EA team.
- Assist in the local office with minor office services tasks, maintaining a good work environment, as required.
Experience required:
At least one year experience working in an administrative or customer service position. Experience in financial services, management consultancy and/or a professional services environment a plus. The successful candidate will likely support our Government & Public Institutions team. As part of this, any applicant that does not have it already should be open to being put through a UK Security Vetting (UKSV) process for SC-level security clearance.
