Bowring Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in our Norwich office: Clinical Trials Broker - Permanent. A position supporting the Clinical Trials team in the procurement of quotations and placing of risks in the wholesale insurance market working in conjunction with colleagues based in the UK. Whilst prior insurance knowledge is not a requirement for this role, we are seeking individuals who are motivated to delivering successful client service/outcomes. The role will include obtaining the most competitive deal with the broadest coverage from the international market to fit clients' specifications.
We will rely on you to:
- Provide support to broking leaders
- Placement of risks into the London and International Casualty insurance market (with guidance)
- Securing agreement to mid-term amendments from insurers
- Establish information required by insurers and/or market to obtain comprehensive indication/quotation
- Plan a market approach with colleagues
- Work collaboratively with other Bowring Marsh colleagues/offices as required on individual placements
- Communicate with account executives/client executives
- Ensure a clear client focus including ensuring that Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) disciplines are applied
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate files and records of the negotiating process including file note of meetings and telephone conversations as well as complying with Bowring Marsh standards
- Develop and maintain market knowledge and relationships with a broad range of underwriters
- Develop new and existing relationships with clients, colleagues and insurers including overseas Marsh offices
- Maintain awareness of the pricing levels in the market place utilising relationships at the most effective level to achieve competitive pricing and conditions
- Completion of mandatory training requirements as may be required from time to time by the firm and within the timeframes given
- Completion of the Firm's CPD requirements, currently 35 hours per year, in a timely manner
