We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB). The role will be based in our London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The role of the Operations Manager will be to support the business on operational initiatives, which deliver business strategy as well as tactically running business activities to support delivery of business goals and outcomes. The role will work across all aspects of business operations - clients, people, finance, and process.
We will count on you to:
- Support business segment leaders and other senior specialists in the execution of agreed strategic and tactical initiatives that drive and deliver desired metrics, business goals and outcomes that align with the overall business strategy.
- Drive and deliver data analytics and metrics reporting for segments and specialist areas.
- Manage data and reporting requests and propose areas for improvement.
- Build and enhance our operational foundation by identifying opportunities to improve operational processes, increase efficiencies, and implement automation for business-as-usual tasks.
- Support with financial and revenue recognition processes.
- Manage stakeholders effectively and drive change initiatives to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
- Ensure that the roll-out of initiatives and ongoing execution meet the quality standards and benefit realisation expectations and identify opportunities for process improvements to share with the broader community.
- Apply strong problem-solving (and project management) skills to lead and coordinate operational projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate the communication of lessons learned as part of implementation efforts and share insights within a function as well as to the broader team of Operations Managers.
- Help to develop and deliver training and supplemental materials.
What you need to have:
- Capable analytical, organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in business process improvement, problem solving, and project management.
- You are solution focused, with the ability to present data outcomes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Tools, especially PowerPoint and advanced Excel capacities.
- An understanding of the global medical and protection markets.
- Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and be a natural problem solver in a demanding work environment.
- Relevant benefits experience gained from working as a Senior Consultant within a Broker or an insurer, managing large and challenging clients is desirable.
