Description: Investment Research Expert - London
Fundhouse is looking for a talented individual to join our investment team. In this position, you will focus primarily on manager research (covering equities, fixed income and multi-asset), but also assist with other investment functions, client servicing and business development. Fundhouse is an award-winning investment company providing investment insights and services to institutional investors globally, and UK-based wealth managers and independent financial advisers (IFAs).
We will count on you to:
- Be recognised as an expert in the UK wealth industry dynamics, including a solid understanding of major asset management firms and a good knowledge of managers across mainstream asset classes.
- Lead the end-to-end due diligence process for a list of funds across mainstream asset classes (equity, fixed income, and multi-asset), including the creation and maintenance of research reports.
- Proactively source and evaluate new investment opportunities, primarily within the UK- and Europe-domiciled fund universe, by cultivating trusted industry relationships, engaging with prospective managers, attending relevant events, and conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Provide support for colleagues also researching managers and contribute to peer reviews of research presented.
The candidate will be driven, curious, and analytical, and prefer being part of a compact team that thinks differently to others. The team takes a generalist approach to research responsibilities, so the candidate will be responsible for covering funds investing in all liquid asset classes. We are open to speaking to people with varied experience, although ideally candidates will have undertaken manager research over a full market cycle. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
