An opportunity has arisen for a Broker Support Technician to join our Treaty Team at Guy Carpenter in London on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in London.

We will count on you to:

  • Coordinate placement support activities and deliver proactive, valued assistance to client teams.
  • Prompt and monitor key tasks throughout the placement process to promote efficient, timely compliance with best-practice procedures.
  • Assist with review of client renewal information.
  • Initiate and support contract drafting, updates, and production of final contract documentation.
  • Prepare submissions and assist brokers where required.
  • Track placement status for assigned accounts and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Maintain core placement files to evidence best-practice procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to client requests for information (e.g., reinsurer or market queries, financial reports, industry issues).
  • Support onboarding of new clients and markets.
  • Manage compliance-related tasks (sanctions checks, third-party due diligence, AML & ABC processes).
  • Access and use front-end broking systems.
  • Monitor and report on business metrics.
  • Build relationships with service teams and develop understanding of accounting, claims, and treaty administration processes.
  • Participate in team, client, and reinsurer meetings.

What you need to have:

  • Experience working as a technician or in a support role within the reinsurance or broking sector.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous exposure to client-facing processes and regulatory/compliance requirements is advantageous.
