We are seeking a talented individual to join our Real Estate speciality at Marsh. This role will be based in Bournemouth and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global Broker within their Real Estate speciality as an Account Handler, either as your entry point to the industry or to embark on the next step within your career. The Real Estate practice provides commercial real estate advice and broking solutions to property owners and investors predominantly in the UK and Europe. Working with a wide array of clients including FTSE250 companies, banks, pension funds, investment managers, asset managers, and across a large spectrum of asset types such as residential, offices, warehousing, and retail ensures a big variety in the day-to-day role of being an Account Handler.
We will count on you to:
- Manage renewal strategy activities in conjunction with the Client Executive.
- Undertake service work in relation to upcoming renewals.
- Request and analyse underwriting information.
- Request and prepare Claims Reports.
- Create market presentations and renewal documents ensuring renewal strategy is reflected.
- Prepare client renewal reports.
- Manage premium billing, collection, and settlement in accordance with Working Capital Management targets.
- Prepare and issue renewal documentation including the creation of invoices, evidence of cover documentation, and renewal policy documentation.
- Act as point of contact within the service team for day-to-day client insurance queries.
- Assist in the resolution of client queries, changes in cover, and risk.
- Prepare reports on specific projects.
- Work within FCA, Marsh Compliance, and Marsh specific procedures and guidelines.
- Strive to deliver best practice, market-leading service and solutions.
What you need to have:
- The role will require you to be personable and able to maintain relationships both internally and externally of Marsh.
- Good standard of education (college leaver/graduate).
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach.
- Quick to take on-board new information which is technical in nature.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly MS Excel) and adaptability to become competent in all relevant Marsh business systems.
- People skills to liaise with the various divisions within Marsh to provide Client service solutions (e.g. Client Executives, Client Directors, Relationship Officers).
