We are seeking a Specialist - IT Quality Assurance to join our IT Quality Assurance team. This role will be an experienced individual contributor focused on functional, automation, data testing, and modern AI-assisted testing practices to ensure product and data quality across enterprise applications, APIs and data pipelines. The Specialist will work closely with development, product, and data teams to design and execute test strategies that validate both application behavior and data integrity.

We will count on you to:

  • Own and implement the Pod-wide test automation strategy (CI/CD, automation pyramid/shift-left, frameworks and tooling) and ensure consistent adoption across all squads for functional and non‑functional testing (performance, security, compatibility, accessibility).
  • Lead testing of AI/GenAI business applications and embed GenAI capabilities into test tooling and utilities (AI-driven insights, optimization, code refactoring, comparisons, migrations).
  • Define, federate, and continuously improve built‑in quality practices, standards, and methods (RCA, stage containment, code quality) so squads deliver consistent, high‑value outcomes aligned to Pod and global approaches.
  • Collaborate with Pod and squad leads, Product Owners, and operations to align quality objectives with PI/resourcing plans, skills profiles, supplier training needs, and global KPIs.
  • Drive process improvement and innovation to increase quality, velocity, and efficiency (closer alignment to business acceptance, automation enhancements, tooling upgrades).
  • Provide timely, actionable QA reporting and dashboards (test coverage, defect trends, leakage, metrics) enabling Pod leads and stakeholders to monitor quality and make data‑driven course corrections.

What you need to have:

  • Experience testing software across multiple languages, technologies, and platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience using generative AI to test and validate AI/ML models, including automation for AI‑powered applications.
  • Experience collecting, processing, and evaluating data quality, as well as preparing test data for AI frameworks and pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile‑at‑scale, Lean, and continuous delivery environments, including CI, TDD, and Infrastructure as Code, with the ability to design and implement automation frameworks.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across cross‑functional teams.

What makes you stand out:

  • Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools, and policies.
  • Experience with automation tools, test framework setup, and testing environments; knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce or Informatica testing, with Scrum Lead or similar experience.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact on colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well‑being.

How to prepare for a job interview at Marsh McLennan

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Marsh McLennan uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
