Our Client Support Services department has an opportunity for a Pro Rata Technician. This role is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham. As a Pro Rata Technician, you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry. - From May until the 29th of August, Guy Carpenter offers flexible ‘Finish Early Friday’ working hours, allowing employees to finish at 1 PM on Fridays (providing your schedule and workload allow).
We will rely on you to:
- Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.
- Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
- Manage all Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e‑trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps, including renewals.
- Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
- Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting.
What you need to have:
- Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, e.g., handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector.
- Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
- Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

- Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository).
