We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Analytics Platforms team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role, requiring at least three days a week in the office. The Product Actuary will report through the Global Analytics Platforms (“GAP”) team, which is responsible for the development and support of core analytics and advisory tools within Guy Carpenter. In this role, you will help define analytical requirements globally, provide detailed documentation to developers, and support the coordination, development, and implementation of best practices across our standard actuarial modeling tool suite. The scope includes the full value cycle of MMC cost/benefit analytics, from data tagging and import through to actuarial methodologies, assumptions, and outputs.
We will count on you to:
- Support Global Analytics Platforms initiatives by providing guidance and solutions to the region in alignment with global goals.
- Work with local experts to analyze actuarial processes and procedures, identify opportunities to improve delivery of analytics, and support aggregation of data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CAT advisory, Data Strategy, Operations, Broking, and Actuarial Advisory, to support the successful execution of actuarial initiatives.
- Work directly with product teams to write requirements, create test cases, develop, and release solutions to colleagues globally.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop a strong understanding of the modeling offering at Guy Carpenter and how it is utilized globally.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
What you need to have:
- Part-qualified or qualified actuary, with a strong interest in product, analytics, and technology-enabled solutions.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, make difficult decisions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate uncertainty.
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in, or experience with, the adoption of AI and emerging technologies to improve actuarial processes, analytics, and product delivery.
