We are looking for an experienced individual to join us as an Account Manager for a busy team of Insurance Professionals, specialising in Natural Resources risks for major clients across the world. The nature of the role has some flexibility and whilst experience in Energy reinsurance is desirable, a dynamic and dedicated candidate with Property and London Market experience will be considered and provided with training opportunities.

As an Account Manager, we require the successful candidate to work within a highly-skilled team of Placement Brokers. While experience working in the insurance wholesale business is advantageous, we are willing to consider candidates from other insurance backgrounds looking to join a leading broker in a technical support role. This role will be based in Norwich on a hybrid basis, with a requirement to travel into London on one of those days, in order to forge relationships with Brokers & colleagues.

We will count on you to:

  • Prompt and monitor key activities and tasks throughout the Reinsurance placement in order to promote efficient and timely compliance with our best practice processes.
  • Build a strong relationship by engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, to deliver excellent and efficient service to our clients.
  • Assist with reviews of client renewal information.
  • Initiate the contract drafting process, updates and production of Final Contract Documentation.
  • Assist Brokers and prepare submissions, where required.
  • Track placement status of assigned accounts and update information as necessary.
  • Respond to client requests for information (reinsurer, financial reports, industry issues, etc.).
  • Onboarding of new clients and markets.
  • Access front-end broking systems and monitor and report on business metrics.

What you need to have:

  • 3+ years’ Insurance experience, ideally within Energy / Property / Power, but other disciplines will be considered.
  • Organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • A keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A high level of communication skills, essential for establishing good working relationships.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
