Overview
In this role you will lead the Controllership for Marsh Consulting UK, overseeing month-end close, accounting policy, and financial reporting across entities. You will ensure strong internal controls and SOX compliance, manage external audits, and support acquisitions and integration activities. You will guide a small team, deliver insightful financial analysis for decision-making, and drive changes in accounting policy to align with group plans. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage month-end close for Consulting UK
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual US GAAP financial reporting
- Support accounting judgments with analysis and assist in new accounting standards implementation
- Manage external auditors and audit timetable, liaison with Audit Committee
- Ensure SOX control issues are remediated and controls are sound
- Review balance sheet and judgements with local management approvals
- Lead and mentor the finance team and support wider initiatives
- Support due diligence, acquisition integration, system implementations and capital expenditure reviews
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Finance (or equivalent)
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA)
- Significant controllership experience in a large matrixed organization
- Ability to lead change in a transforming, acquisitive environment
- Experience with Oracle Financials: GL and Hyperion Essbase
