This role will be based in our London offices. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer from an Insurance Broker / Insurer background. This role will partner with the Marsh UK Corporate and Commercial business to deliver effective oversight and advice, regarding compliance policies, procedures, systems, controls and governance.This role will have 1 direct reportWe will count on you to:Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for any regulatory or governance queries by providing guidance and steer to the businessAttend regular business and governance meetings and provide Compliance updates on regulatory developments, risks and relevant topics and actionsWork with the business to develop effective and efficient policies and procedures that will facilitate compliance with regulatory requirementsProvide Compliance advice and challenge to colleagues on issues and risks relating to their business or function, including the development and launch of new business models, new products and new functional processesPromote an open line of communication between Compliance and the business to provide the business with updates on current Compliance initiatives and projectsMaintain an awareness of regulatory developments and support the business in assessing impacts and provide advice on challenges and proposed implementationWork collaboratively across the Advisory team, providing assistance/support to other team members and proactively sharing information/learnings to benefit the wider teamManage and develop 1 FTEWhat you need to have:Experience in Compliance either with an Insurer or BrokerClient Money (CASS5/8) experience would be beneficialProven track record in building strong and constructive relationships with business leadersBroad and deep knowledge of the FCA Handbook – Principles, Rules and GuidelinesCommercial awareness and focus on the proportionate application of regulation within the insurance industryStrong and confident communicator (verbal and written)Strong organisational and time management skillsWhat makes you stand out:ACII or other Insurance industry qualificationProject management experienceUniversity Degree or recognised industry accreditation (for example, ICA Diploma)Why join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
