As a Designer at Lippincott, you will collaborate on a variety of brand, innovation, and culture projects across print, digital, and interactive experiences. Your work can range from brainstorming launch activations to pitching AI chatbot names or exploring a UI toolkit for a mobile app.
Responsibilities
- Research trends in typography, illustrations, UI, or other branding related elements
- Analyze and report on the competitive design landscape
- Develop a clear point‐of‐view and advocate for usability, bringing ideas from concept to function
- Assist in research, initial concept planning, and moodboard creation to inform design development
- Ideate logo concepts with consideration for motion and visual system implementation across touchpoints such as social media and signage
- Develop preliminary concepts into refined, comprehensive design solutions across brand touchpoints (print, digital, interactive, motion, three‐dimensional, environmental)
- Think in terms of systems with some technical knowledge
- Contribute to client and internal projects, working individually and collaboratively to advance design concepts
- Participate in brainstorms, creative work sessions, and internal meetings
- Assist in producing client presentations and in gathering materials and updating exhibits for case studies
- Participate in initiatives that build the firm culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic or visual design
- Strong design portfolio across static, dynamic, and interactive media
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent credential
- Strong technical abilities in Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and experience with motion and interaction design software (AfterEffects, Figma)
- Highly organized with the ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate and justify design ideas in support of client objectives
- Passion for design, branding, and innovation, and a willingness to extend knowledge about technology, media, production, and design tools
