We are seeking a talented individual to join our Commercial team at Mercer Marsh Benefits. The successful candidate for this role will be based in London on a hybrid basis, with a requirement to work 3 days per week in the office.

Mercer Marsh Benefits is a specialist in employee benefits, health insurance and workplace wellness for SMEs, domestic employers and large multinational firms. We are currently looking to recruit an individual to join us as a Business Development Manager.

Within your role you’ll lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives, motivate team members, and foster a thriving, innovative culture. You will be expected to have a high presence in and around the Marsh and Mercer Marsh Benefits management teams to create opportunity for the team and for the Southern region.

We will count on you to:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand services and add value to clients.
  • Manage client relationships across all levels, ensuring full scope of services and collaboration with other teams and business units.
  • Oversee project management activities, including scope and budget monitoring, and communicate scope changes and financial implications effectively.
  • Support complex client engagements, develop intellectual capital, and improve operational efficiencies through innovative approaches.

What you need to have:

  • Excellent communication skills and previous experience of managing stakeholders.
  • Able to effectively communicate with virtual and in-person team members.
  • Prior healthcare / protection experience (or both).
  • Achievement and target-oriented mindset with strong relationship management skills.
  • Proven technical, product, and process knowledge, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & other business-related systems / dashboards.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
