We are seeking a talented individual to join our London Market Casualty Broking team at Marsh. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
Within this role, the broker will be responsible for placing Casualty risks into the London Market, promoting London Market Risks to Marsh branches, and driving the transfer of business to the London Market Team. The role also involves attending client and prospect meetings as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assesses risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to help develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
- Implements the Placement strategy to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service.
- Documents all activities in the system to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers and client team.
- Assists in the management of submitting coverage specifications and obtains quotes from carriers based upon the “assist, advise, and assume” transaction model.
- Improves relationships with carriers, underwriters and client team to provide cohesive client service.
- Forecasts and confers a basic understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions and informs client executives, client advisors, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of products/coverage.

- Previous Broker or General Insurance experience within the Casualty sector.
- The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
- Good interpersonal, negotiation, organisation, communication and planning skills.
- Excellent personal drive and self-motivation.
- IT literate.
