About the pub:
The Marsh Harrier is a busy, welcoming food-led community pub located on a popular retail park off the A1233, surrounded by shops, businesses and schools. Currently averaging £15k a week with a 65% dry / 35% wet sales mix. The pub operates as a one-room site with a central L-shaped bar, pizza oven on the trading floor, outdoor play area, external pizza space, ample parking and a dog-friendly atmosphere.
We’re looking for an experienced General Manager from a fast-paced pub or restaurant environment, confident in driving sales, controlling labour and costs, and leading and motivating a strong team to deliver great guest experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity to run a high-volume, community-focused food pub with a loyal following and growth potential. Management accommodation is available in the form of a 3-bedroom spacious 1st-floor flat.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the pub team, focusing on recruitment, engagement and performance.
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including sales, costs and compliance.
- Drive sales growth, manage labour costs and create a high-quality guest experience.
- Set and achieve business targets while maintaining excellent guest relations.
- Lead from the front and nurture a positive, energetic team culture.
