Overview: The central role will be to provide a professional on-site hose replacement service to customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hour on-call rota with other technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site hose replacement service to customers in a professional manner.
- Be part of a 24 hour on-call rota with other technicians.
- Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers within the territory.
- Maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment where required.
- Manage the Mobile Sales & Service Unit (MSSU):
- Maintain sufficient stock levels within the MSSU.
- Perform routine maintenance checks in accordance with MSSU defect checklists.
- Keep the MSSU clean and tidy, inside and out.
- Manage all company-supplied documentation within the MSSU, including technical and procedure updates.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Good manual dexterity and physical ability.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to present yourself in a professional and courteous manner to customers, staff and colleagues.
- Ability to work unsupervised and to time constraints.
- Successful completion of the induction and training programmes and subsequent on-site assessments as requested.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and colleagues.
- Full UK driving license.
- Company UK induction training (provided).
- Work experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential.
Work Information:
Your normal hours of work are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday. This is dependent on the on-call rota. You are entitled to a lunch break of one hour each working day. The dates of your annual holiday entitlement must be approved beforehand by your line manager.
