Leading international professional services firm is looking for an experienced Employment Counsel to join their in-house legal team on a 9-12 month mat cover contract starting ASAP.

FTC or day rate. Flexible on location - London, one of their regional offices or remote.

Reporting to the General Counsel you will have a broad role covering both non-contentious and contentious employment work for the firm including:

  • UK employment tribunal claims and partnership-related litigation
  • Providing commercially focused advice to management, the HR and senior stakeholders across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Drafting a wide range of partnership and employment documentation, including employment contracts, settlement agreements, consultancy agreements, secondment agreements and deeds of retirement.
  • Supporting on business-critical people projects, including TUPE transfers, restructures, reorganisations, redundancy programmes and outsourcing or insourcing arrangements.
  • Identifying, and mitigating employment legal risk across UK and international matters.
  • Instruction of external counsel

You will be 8+ years PQE as a guide either from a law firm or similar in-house role within a professional services environment.

Depth of technical knowledge across both employment litigation and advisory is key.
