A leading global provider of corporate, wealth, pension, and fund services is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of legal matters with a particular focus on the Funds service line and operations in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal counsel on a wide array of matters, particularly relating to private and registered investment funds.
- Advise on fund formation, operation, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation including contracts and agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage legal risk and support business growth.
- Monitor and interpret changes in relevant legislation and regulation.
- Support business development and compliance initiatives across the Group.
- Lead and mentor junior legal professionals, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 8 years PQE, qualified to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction ideally New York, Boston, Miami, or San Francisco.
- Strong background in corporate finance, commercial law, and funds regulation, ideally with experience in civil law systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex legal matters in fast-paced, international environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Technologically proficient with strong drafting and negotiation capabilities.
- Multilingual skills (e.g., English, French, Italian) are advantageous but not essential.
- Passion for pro bono work and DEI initiatives is welcomed.
