Our client is a prominent UK Transport operator seeking a Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team based in Manchester. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality legal advice, engaging with diverse commercial and regulatory matters across all business functions. This role offers a unique chance to gain broad exposure in areas like commercial contracts, ESG, technology, data protection, advertising, e-commerce, consumer rights, disputes etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day legal advice across various areas, including commercial contracts, procurement and supplier agreements, SaaS agreements, NDAs.
- Providing M/A support.
- Advise on and draft agreements with public authorities.
- Supporting the bidding team and working on business development initiatives.
- Provide internal legal support on disputes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as risk, compliance, operations, business development, and treasury to support business success.
The ideal candidate will be 2yrs PQE+, coming from a reputable law firm or have relevant in-house experience. You will also be living in Manchester and be willing to commute to the office 3 days per week.
