Job Description
Our client acquires and operates insurance and reinsurance companies and portfolios within Europe.
Marsden has placed senior corporate lawyers into this team and now due to the expansion of the Group, they are looking to grow the legal function again. You will be happy to work 4 days a week with the flexibility and freedom this entails.
It is a particularly exciting time to be joining this dynamic Group with many opportunities to grow your career and increase your exposure to the operation of an international financial Group.
You will be a corporate lawyer qualified with 4-6 years’ experience in private practice and/or in-house. You will have experience in M&A transactions and general corporate commercial work and preferably have had exposure to the insurance sector. You will be a self-starter with a high level of integrity and act as a team player whilst having the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects, providers, and external counsel.
Your responsibilities will involve providing legal support to the business including M&A projects such as portfolio transfers, acquisition negotiations with third parties, managing discreet aspects of portfolio transfers such as contract novation and contract drafting and review. You will be familiar with insurance regulation, procurement, and data protection.
