In House Legal Counsel - Construction Lawyer - Data Center - 5+pqe - London
Our client is a dynamic leading player in the expansive data center sector. Marsden are exclusively retained with this new and exciting opportunity for you to join them.
Are you an experienced Construction Lawyer looking to join this innovative business space? You may be looking to move into industry to improve your work life balance and to make a real difference to the future, or you may be in house or in private practice at the moment.
You will have at least 5 yearsβ Construction law experience gained in private practice with a respected firm and/or in house preferably, but not essentially, within the data center sector. To be mainly involved in advising the Projects arm of the business you will have experience in negotiating contracts including service and supplier contracts, JCT contracts, insurance and the supply chain contracts and risk assessments.
This is such an exciting time to be involved in this growing business in this transformative sector. The legal team is small and you will manage your own case load, have autonomy in your work and the opportunity to work closely with the clients and suppliers and external legal counsel.
Reporting to the VP Legal you will offer support in guiding the business through the next growth phase in a sustainable manner. You will lead processes to establish, educate and manage legal and business risk. You will represent the business in front of customers and suppliers, advising in a pragmatic manner and balancing legal and commercial risks.
Your success in this role will be through a deep understanding of the business and supply chain. Whilst protecting the business up and down that chain you will facilitate the winning of new business and implementation of existing contracts.
