Marsden are recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join a global consulting firm on an initial six-month contract, starting in January 2026, with potential to extend. The role is central London based with hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 remote) and offers a competitive day rate (inside IR35).
This is a broad corporate and commercial role, well suited to a mid-senior level lawyer with strong experience in commercial contracts, employment, and data privacy. As part of a busy in-house legal team, responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, from NDAs and letters of engagement through to MSAs and transaction documents.
- Supporting on contractual disputes.
- Assisting with major corporate transactions, including global strategic projects and M&A.
- Advising on employment matters, including settlement agreements and employee-related issues.
- Supporting on data privacy matters, including DSARs, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating closely with the wider legal and compliance team on BAU and project work.
You will be at least 3 years PQE (as a guide), with experience gained in a respected corporate/commercial private practice or in-house environment. Strong technical drafting skills are essential, along with the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced team.
