We are working with a leading international professional services firm who are scaling up to an exciting Senior Privacy Lawyer hire.

This is a genuinely interesting in-house privacy role sitting at the heart of the organisation, working closely with the Global DPO and the senior privacy leadership, and acting as a trusted advisor to both legal and non-legal stakeholders across the business.

This is not a narrow policy role. You will be hands-on working on operational privacy work with real exposure to live issues, complex projects and senior decision-making.

What the role looks like in practice:

  • Advising on global data protection obligations across the UK, EU and other jurisdictions
  • Supporting operational privacy workstreams including DSARs, data incidents and DPIAs
  • Reviewing and negotiating data protection and data transfer agreements (including SCCs and TIAs)
  • Partnering with internal legal teams to support client-facing and internal privacy issues
  • Supporting the delivery of firm-wide AI related privacy projects, privacy compliance projects, training and templates
  • Staying close to regulatory and market developments in privacy, cyber and emerging technology.

You will:

  • be a qualified privacy lawyer (England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction) with experience gained in-house or in private practice, ideally within a complex or global environment.
  • have strong technical grounding across UK/EU data protection law with broader international exposure
  • be comfortable working autonomously while collaborating closely with a wider privacy team;
  • be pragmatic, commercial and confident explaining complex privacy issues to non-lawyers; and
  • preferably (although not essential) have Privacy certifications (e.g. IAPP), have enjoyed exposure to AI, legal tech or advanced data-driven systems and language skills.
