We are an 11‑16 United Learning Academy with a roll of 1,050 and in every year group we have waiting lists for places. Key Responsibilities:
- Literacy Support:
- Run extra-curricular reading activities for all students.
- Take responsibility for creating and implementing resources which allow students to access and enjoy reading.
- Tutor small group reading and phonics interventions.
- To accompany Academy trips to promote reading and literacy.
- Library Management:
- Organise and maintain the library ensuring a positive working atmosphere and that it complies with this requirement.
- Ensure that the library is both accessible and attractive to different groups of students: SEND, EAL students, disadvantaged high attaining students.
