£30,200–£31,300 (including shift allowance, DOE)

Weekly Rotating Shifts – Mon to Fri, 40 hours per week.

Schedule: Week 1 – 6am–2pm; Week 2 – 2pm–10pm; Week 3 – 10pm–6am (Winter Sun–Thu, Summer Mon–Thu).

Location: Milton Keynes, Wolverton.

The Role

To ensure safe loading and unloading of bagged/packaged stock, accurate picking of bagged goods aligned with customer orders, and maintain hygienic and tidy warehouse conditions. All roles within Mars Horsecare have responsibility to focus on safety and quality of yourself, products, and those around you.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of working in an operational environment & working with diverse teams, dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical aptitude: Basic technical and fault‑finding abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Numeracy and literacy: solid foundation for clear communication and accurate data handling.
  • Computer proficiency: familiarity with essential software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor physical quality of bagged/packaged items and stored in approved manner, report/react to non‑compliances as directed.
  • Maintain effective communication with Shift Manager and warehouse Lead Op, all operations staff, weighbridge operator and CSD team.
  • Monitor delivery/collection vehicles and personnel as regards company requirements.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed in accordance with legislative and management requirements.
  • Ensure correct stock rotation and stock control.
  • Maintain high standard of hygiene and housekeeping in the warehouse and loading lane.
  • Racking control – ensuring any damaged racking is reported.
  • Fleet management – with new electric trucks in transition, ensuring quality checks to the highest standard.
