The Role Weâre looking for a proactive Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to help keep our worldâclass manufacturing site running smoothly. In this role, youâll take ownership of transforming maintenance plans into real, executable workâoptimising production downtime, coordinating resources, and ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely and effectively. Youâll also plan and manage nonâroutine work, oversee contractors, and make sure jobs are clearly scoped, efficiently executed, and successfully handed back to operations.

What Weâre Looking For
- A technical backgroundâeither as a maintenance technician or engineer
- Part recognition â from drawings, visual investigation and manuals.
- Procurement of OEM parts from multiple vendors.
- Confident PC skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and planning/production systems
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to planning and scheduling (desirable but not essential based on knowledge)
- Experience of Risk Management and permitting
- An electrical background (beneficial but not essential)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the maintenance schedule, ensuring production downtime is used as efficiently as possible
- Convert maintenance requests into clear, actionable work ordersâsetting technicians up for success
- Manage and prioritise the maintenance backlog within your production area
- Coordinate and oversee onsite contractors, ensuring outsourced maintenance activities meet Mars standards and best practice
- Collaborate closely with operations teams and other planners to align priorities and maintain strong crossâfunctional communication
