The Technical Manager is accountable for wholistic factory assets management to ensure all machine & equipment are in good condition & reliability to serve business priorities & purposes. This role also involves managing the technical team’s associates to have appropriate knowledge, skills & capability to effectively perform all asset management activities, with a strong awareness & mindset adhering to all Safety and Quality policies in the factory, along with a solid succession pipeline for the future.
What are we looking for?
- In-depth experience in Technical or Production area within FMCG.
- Excellence in people leadership and project management, preferably in an engineering/supply environment.
- Strong line management experience and track record of performance and people development.
- Experience/knowledge of broader supply functions like Q&FS, IE, HSE, Manufacturing.
- Budget management experience of >£1m TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) type experience with emphasis on PM (Progress Maintenance) and EM (Early Management) pillar leadership.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Provide strategic and technical leadership to the Maintenance and Engineering teams.
- Provide innovative solutions resulting in sustained technical competitive advantage.
- Develop and deliver a multi-year maintenance and engineering strategy to execute critical KPI’s for Supply Chain/Operations.
- Lead and facilitate the Progressive Maintenance Pillar.
- Manage all utilities, maintenance, & engineering at site.
- Technical asset management from early equipment management, project management (i.e. design, installation, vertical start-up), optimization, maintenance and retirement.
- Deliver new product initiatives at the site to meet business needs.
- Ensure compliance with Mars standards related to technical job function of site.
- Manage Maintenance costs to ensure the budgeting process is accurate and the department meets the business requirements.
- Deliver sites engineering projects to scope, timing, and costs.
- Develop and sustain maintenance predictive technology strategies to provide a proactive maintenance culture.
- Engage the Maintenance and Engineering team and support associate development.
