Join our Global Packaging team as a Senior Engineer, responsible for designing and developing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for the Mars Snacking portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to take packaging concepts from ideation to finished goods, driving innovation and accelerating growth. You will have the ability to work independently, lead teams, and deliver global projects that drive product quality, efficiency, and consumer safety. What are we looking for?

  • Experience in working in packaging development engineering, including 1st wraps and overwraps, cartons, and cases.
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams.
  • Able to be flexible and agile to changing business priorities.
  • Able to set priorities and demonstrate project management skills.
  • Ideally experience in working with models and simulations.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Design, develop, and translate innovative packaging concepts, ensuring alignment with global consumer insights, business strategy, and quality standards.
  • Lead and execute packaging development programs, bringing projects to commercialization while meeting timelines and cost objectives.
  • Create packaging specifications to meet brand Key Quality Attributes (KQAs) and ensure risk management, customer, and supply chain requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global/regional packaging teams to deliver innovative solutions and develop required technologies.
  • Manage high-profile projects, drive consumer research, and identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and new packaging ideas.

In the first 3 months you will start to understand the business/stakeholders/projects etc. In 6 months, you will be supporting the projects and helping move them along.
