What We’re Looking For
- Technical qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or a related field, backed by practical experience
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments: You know how to troubleshoot and maintain complex mechanical systems.
- Proven problem-solving skills: You excel at Root Cause Analysis and fault finding.
- Technical proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, PI Process Book, and SAP Planned Maintenance.
- Leadership & teamwork: You thrive in a collaborative setting, with the ability to coach and inspire others.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep things running smoothly: Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance automated, electromechanical systems – from refrigeration systems to meat processing equipment, conveyors, and fluid systems.
- Be the problem solver: Diagnose breakdowns and ensure timely resolutions, reducing downtime to boost productivity.
- Team leader & technical coach: Lead by example and support your colleagues, sharing your technical expertise to elevate the team.
- Drive improvement: Take on small-scale improvements, actively contributing to continuous innovation and efficiency.
- Champion safety: Participate in risk assessments and ensure all activities adhere to safety standards (ISO 14000, PTW, Hot Work, etc.).
- Collaborative communication: Be the bridge between operations and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.
- Develop talent: Help build the next generation of engineers through technical training and coaching.
