Role:
Working as part of a shift team of up to 25 associates, the primary role of an Operator is to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for a set of machines, pieces of equipment and/or processes within their working area. This includes carrying out the routine operational tasks required to achieve area targets such as starting up, shutting down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.

What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent communication skills – fluent English, both verbal and written; ability to clearly articulate issues, instructions, and feedback during shift handovers, meetings, and incident reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Team collaboration: ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating on improvements.
- Experience in a similar role in production, manufacturing or warehousing is desirable.
- Mechanical training or experience in fault‑finding beneficial.
- Forklift truck experience would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively within a shift team, fostering a cooperative and supportive environment to ensure collective achievement of production, quality and safety targets.
- Take ownership of assigned machines and processes, ensuring they operate efficiently and consistently to meet production schedules.
- Interface with basic IT and automation systems to monitor machine status, input production data and troubleshoot minor system errors.
- Identify and escalate equipment, process or safety issues to supervisors or relevant support teams in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Respond promptly to machine or equipment stoppages, assess the situation and implement corrective actions based on trained knowledge and experience.
