An industry leading scientific device manufacturer, who spun out of the university of Oxford is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their growing R&D and Manufacturing team. This role would be perfect for a Quality Engineer with 3 plus years’ experience who is looking to progress their Quality / QA career and really take ownership of an organisation’s quality assurance operation. This is a truly once in a lifetime opportunity for a Quality Engineer to really help shape this amazing company's Quality processes, procedures and push to become ISO accredited.

This Quality Engineer’s daily responsibilities include:

  • Scoping, Writing and Ownership of the Production, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Quality Processes.
  • Scoping, Writing and Ownership of Product Testing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Measurement of Quality-related data points, analysis, and championing of corrective actions as a result.
  • Ownership of incoming product quality, processing returns and scrappages with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
  • Providing regular feedback and input in NPI processes such as Design Reviews, FMECAs, ECC and DfX.
  • Input into the Quality Management System with a focus on gaining ISO:9001.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • HNC, HND, Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
  • 3 years experience within a Quality Engineering role, ideally with mechanical based products.
  • Experience of working with ISO9001 standards.
  • Conversant in Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Knowledge and use of Sage200, SAP-B1 or similar integrated ERP systems.
  • Dynamic individual with keen problem-solving abilities, “think on your feet” and a desire to always do better.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to provide and take part in 360° Feedback.
  • Excellent time management skills when dealing with multiple projects and tasks on a daily basis.

Our client offers a competitive salary, £40,000pa to £45,000pa plus benefits, which includes a bonus, company contributory pension, death in service insurance, 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays. Please note that due to the client’s location, it is preferred that you have transport.
